Objectifying Breath

For our final project, Ivana and I wanted to focus on the idea of transferring breath to objects. With the kinect, openNI, a weighted piezo sensor and the arduino, the user breaths a pattern of breath, captured by the piezo and the rhythm and speed is captured on screen. 'Breath' is depicted as spherical objects located throughout the digital environment. Upon breathing into the piezo, an object of breath 'attaches' to the user, and the user is able to interact and breath with other objects of breath around them. As the user approaches the object, the pattern of breath is transferred to the object, as they back away, the pattern diminishes.
